Our Volunteers
English Connection is made possible by a committed group of volunteers who generously give their time, skills, and energy to support English education for learners from low-income communities. Our volunteers include experienced professionals as well as motivated senior high school students, all united by a shared belief that education can transform lives.
Working closely with small groups of learners, our volunteers provide structured guidance through the syllabus while creating a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment. Beyond classroom teaching, they help students develop confidence, positive social behaviour, and essential life skills that support their overall growth.
Through creative teaching methods, mentoring, and active engagement, our volunteers play a vital role in building strong foundations in reading, speaking, and written English. Their patience, enthusiasm, and dedication are central to the impact English Connection continues to make within the community.
